In marriage, it’s the little things that count! Practice Kindness

Random Acts of Kindness

Try practicing “rak” random acts of kindness. Marriage is about the big things but also the little things. Try giving your spouse a massage, put a note in their brief case or lunch. Get creative. Kindness goes a long way in any relationship. Most of us are only used to doing random acts of kindness on special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries. It would be a great thing in our marriages if we could train ourselves to just do one thing a day. It doesn’t have to be a big act. Just something small to let your spouse know that you appreciate them. It will come full circle I promise. You can start by just saying kind words. Build your spouse up! Especially in public. Mother Teresa once said “Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless.”

The same advice I give my kids I give to myself and all of us married couples. “Be Nice, Be kind”! It really does go a long way.
