Reputation is important. How long has the company been in business? There are a lot of good wedding companies out there. There are also an equal amount of inexperienced brand new wedding companies in our area. Look up the google reviews on the company. Do they have any? Do they only have a few? Do they have bad reviews? These are very important things to consider when choosing a beach wedding company to handle the details of your special day. How did you find the company? Was it a google ad? Sometimes new companies have to boost their website through paid advertising because they don’t show in the natural search results. That’s not always a bad thing. It can be a red flag however if the company is brand new. A brand new wedding planner means they are not experienced. Paradise Beach Weddings started doing beach weddings in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach 20 years ago. We have well over one hundred google reviews. In fact we are the highest rated beach wedding company in our area.
Packages - Decor
What decor is pleasing to you? What colors schemes do you like? When planning a beach wedding the focal point of your wedding will be the decor. Is the wedding arbor big enough to stand under? We have seen a lot of wedding arbor’s set up by others that are so small that everyone has to stand in front of the arbor. You can’t tell that from looking at their package pictures though. This is another thing to consider when picking the wedding planner that is right for you.
Do you want a Christian Wedding?
To most of the population in America, having a Christian wedding is important. But, if that is not you then most any wedding company will be able to provide you with a non-Christian wedding. In fact, most of the wedding companies in our area advertise that they use “professional officiates”. Which means you will have an officiate that conducts a non-Christian ceremony. If having a Christian wedding ceremony is something that is important to you we want you to know that it is important to us too. We provide a Christian Ordained Minister to officiate all of our ceremonies. Robert Bullock officiates most of our weddings. He has served in Christian pastoral ministry for 20 years. He has served as youth pastor and senior pastor of several Baptist churches in our area. He is an ordained Baptist minister. State Senator Albert Lipscomb, who is also an ordained Baptist minister conducted his ordination service many years ago.
Photos
Let’s face it, one of the most important aspects of any wedding is the photos. Does the wedding package come with professional photos? Professional photography comes with all of our wedding packages. Most other wedding companies provide this too. Look at their work. Are the photos on their website done by them or are they stock images? If you are unsure, ask them to send you samples of their work. The last thing you want is someone saying they are a professional photographer, while wielding a $400 cannon rebel camera on your wedding day! So many in our area do this. Our photo equipment cost thousands of dollars. Ask them what camera your wedding will be shot with. This is an important aspect that many brides overlook. Your photos are important of your wedding day. They say this is the biggest day of your life. You should make sure that whoever is capturing this special moment knows what they are doing and had professional equipment to do the job right.
One more thing about photos. Are they included with your package or do you have to purchase them later. Some will hold your photos hostage so to speak. We use professional equipment, have experienced photographers, and know how to work with you and your spouse to pose you for the perfect shot.
Your Budget
Beach Weddings in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are affordable compared to traditional weddings that can be $40,000 or more. However, some beach wedding companies in our area have to charge more than they should for the same packages that others offer. The reason is because they have to hire a set-up crew, a photographer, and an officiate. For what all you get, our packages are the most affordable in our area. The reason we can keep our cost down is because we do everything. We set up your wedding, we officiate your wedding, and we photograph your wedding. Also, since we have our hand in everything on your wedding day and do not hire it out, we make sure that everything is perfect. We take pride in our packages and they are not just thrown together by hired help. Our wedding packages are affordable and beautiful.
Conclusion
There are some really great wedding planners in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Alabama. Also, there are some not so great ones. Some that we would warn you to stay away from. So, consider all of the above when shopping around for a beach wedding provider. We may not be the perfect fit for you and that is ok. We want your beach wedding in Alabama to be the best it can be. That is why we give this information. 20 years ago when we started doing beach weddings there were only 2 or 3 wedding companies to choose from in our area. Now, there are more than there should be. A lot of them have copied our packages, one copied our logo, and many just offer subpar services to make a dollar off of you. Just be careful. Ask questions and look at their reviews.
